DESCRIPTION:The Civil Rights & Organizing Committee focuses primarily on criminalization of unhoused individuals and mobilized actions to combat these issues locally as well as nationally. \nThis group is strongly supported by our Membership as we are largely composed of individuals with lived experience with housing insecurity. SUMMARY:NCH & BAHN Racial Equity Committee
DESCRIPTION:This group focuses on racial inequalities and systematic structural racism that is designed to keep certain populations of unhoused communities oppressed for generations. \nWe are working to combat these systems and call them into question nationally\, in an effort to reform these systems to better support those in need. \nWe encourage everyone to take part in this work\, especially those with lived experience! \nWe believe that individuals with lived experience should always be at the forefront when mobilizing & strategizing how to address housing disparities across the country. \nWe invite all our Members to join this committee.
