Hello, Everyone the best thing about advocating and know how to advocate is when you change the lives of those who you are serving. No matter how small or big it is, victory comes in all sizes and shapes.

Advocating brings the heart to the people and the hope to the community.

I am grateful to be here. I advocate everyday for those who feel they can not and for those who need a strong presence. I lived there nightmare and I do not want others to experience the same fate as I once did on every level. We have that Lived Expertise to dismantle and conquer to bring a since of calm to our communities and transformative justice to our nation. If you are tired then let’s start advocating and organizing so that our democracy is not lost but uplift because we deserve better representation from those who really care about humanity. End Homelessness

                              <p style=”text-align: right;”>Hello Everyone,</p>

My name is Stephany I’m from Oakland, CA and I am currently homeless. I’m also a full-time online student at Georgetown University working towards my Bachelor’s with a 3.8 GPA. I’m on the Nominations Committee for Everyone Home COC Alameda County. I became an advocate because of my own lives experiences. I want to change the stigma often associated with homelessness. After dealing with anger from encampment sweeps and being left in the rain and cold (offered no alternative) being treated like an eyesore, watching numerous people die in the streets I knew I had to do something. So the last 2 years I’ve been learning, advocating, and volunteering to gain the knowledge and skills to make meaningful change for my homeless community. I’ve met remarkable people, talented, capable, intelligent, individuals that society shuns, ignores, bad-mouths, and so on. I’m hoping to get involved in policy work, nonprofit, and anywhere I can to improve the quality of life for myself and others like me. I’m new in advocacy and didn’t really know where to start or even if I could but I’m so passionate about this that I thought I’d just put myself out there and start somewhere. You can read more at https://www.unhousedandpushedaround.carrd.co Unhoused and Pushed Around is a work in progress of my journey navigating homelessness. I’m so very honored to be a part of this community and look forward to learning from you all and doing my part along side you all.
